Practice Management Customer Service Thought for The Day

 

One of the worst smells encountered by man is the smell of skunk when it becomes frightened. During this time of year in the serenity of where I live many become frightened by automobile headlights and “spray”. The smell is so overwhelming no one will go near it. This reminds me of how some practices operate.

 

When practices do not reply to patients, when receptionists and nurses perhaps even doctors are rude, the service is as bad as the smell of a skunk. Customer service is the key differentiator in a competitive world where doctors fight for every dollar. The question for you is does your patient service attract like the fragrance of a flower or the smell of a skunk?
